Recipe: Grilled Turkey Burgers with Parsley and Dill

It’s time for some mouth-watering (but healthy!) burgers. They’re loaded with farm-fresh staples like scallions, dill, red onion, parsley and sprouts.

With lean ground turkey and whole-grain breadcrumbs and buns, this burger is packed with protein and intact carbs too. So long, fast-food drive thru! We’ve raised the bar on burgers to a whole new level of taste and nutrition.


1 pound ground turkey (white meat)
3 scallions, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped flat leaf parsley
2 tablespoons chopped dill
1 large egg white
¼ cup whole wheat bread crumbs
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 small red onion, sliced into rings
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
½ cup radish sprouts
4 whole wheat buns

  1. In a large bowl, using your hands, gently mix together the turkey, scallions, parsley, dill, egg white, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 even portions and shape into ½-inch thick patties. Place on a plate, cover and refrigerate until ready to grill.
  2. Heat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the buns first and set aside. Then grill the burgers until cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes per side.
  3. Now for the fun part: Build your burgers with buns, sliced red onion, tomatoes and sprouts.
